About NaijaWell
Wellness apps weren't built for us. We're fixing that.
Our story
Every popular nutrition app has the same problem in Nigeria: type "jollof rice" and you get nothing useful. Type "eba" and it doesn't exist. So Nigerians who want to take their health seriously end up logging their meals as "rice and chicken" — losing all the cultural context that makes our food unique.
NaijaWell Daily started as a personal frustration. We wanted to track jollof, amala, suya, akara, moi moi — the meals we actually eat — and get real numbers back. Not approximations. Not "closest match: yellow rice." Real Nigerian portion sizes, real macros, real guidance.
Our mission
Make daily wellness — nutrition, movement, sleep, stress — feel possible for every Nigerian. Without giving up the foods we love. Without expensive gym memberships. Without judgment.
What we believe
- ✓ Healthy eating doesn't mean abandoning your culture
- ✓ Small daily habits beat extreme diets
- ✓ Your data belongs to you, not us
- ✓ Wellness should be affordable
- ✓ Mental health matters as much as physical
The team
We're a small team of Nigerian builders, nutritionists, and fitness coaches scattered across Lagos, Abuja and the diaspora. We use NaijaWell every day — if it's not good enough for us, it doesn't ship.
